We are looking for an enthusiastic self-driven software engineer to be a part of our global team hardware and software engineers to work in a dynamic environment on the latest technology in Communications Industry. Within this team you will work closely with the Communications Hardware Teams to contribute and innovate to provide first in class software solutions for our 5G NR and ORAN hardware platforms. 5G and ORAN is changing the industry, and this is unique opportunity work on strategic projects as part of that change.As a critical member of the team, you will help design and build system software modules for 5G Radios Units. As a senior member of the team you will have the opportunity to influence and add value in all phases of product development. You will work closely your team membersm, actively participating in feasibility, requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and verifications. You will be positioned within a multi-site development team and will be working closely with a dynamic team of hardware and software system to deliver real world software solutions.We are looking for a highly motivated and creative software engineers from electrical and computer engineering backgrounds with strong knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas.Qualifications:Ideal candidate will hold an BS/MS in Electronic or Software Computer Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience developing software in embedded environment. Additionally, they will have demonstrated:
  • Strong Linux/C/C++ Programming Skills
  • Experience with embedded platforms & embedded Linux application development
  • Experience with SCM tools (GIT, SVN etc.) Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, SVN, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle, software configuration management tools, and software release process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills as they will be interpreting requirements and creating design documents
  • Ability to work in distributed development environment
  • An enquiring, flexible attitude to work and learning.
  • Enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are valued more than any particular skill
The Following skill or experience would be a strong advantage:
  • Strong working knowledge of a software development process (e.g. Agile)
  • Knowledge one or more script languages e.g. Python
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, software testing and software quality testing
  • Knowledge of RF systems
  • Familiarity with O-RU architecture, O-RAN split 7-2x fronthaul, C/U/S & M planes and ECPRI interfaces
  • Understanding of radio sub-systems and operation of RF measurement equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators) a plus
