Depot Yard Layout Expert (Rail) - PhilippinesEWI are supporting a leading consultancy firm, who are currently seeking an experienced Depot Yard Layout Expert for a rail project in the Philippines.As a Depot Yard Layout Expert, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and optimisation of depot yards for my clients rail project in the Philippines. You will utilise your extensive experience and expertise to ensure the efficient and effective layout of depot facilities, contributing to the overall success of the project.Key Responsibilities: * Lead the design and layout of depot yards, considering factors such as space utilisation, operational efficiency, and safety standards.

Develop comprehensive depot yard plans, incorporating tracks, platforms, storage areas, workshops, and other infrastructure elements.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate potential locations for depot yard construction or expansion.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on depot yard design principles, standards, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards throughout the design process.
Utilise advanced software tools and technologies to model and optimise depot yard layouts.
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation related to depot yard design and planning activities.
Mentor and support junior staff members, sharing knowledge and best practices in depot yard layout design.
Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies related to rail depot infrastructure.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in depot yard layout design and planning, preferably in the rail or transportation sector.
Proven track record of working on the consultant's side, providing depot yard layout expertise for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of rail depot operations, maintenance requirements, and industry standards.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
