The JOB
This role will be responsible for assisting and supporting Ag Service & Oilseeds trading desk. Joint with market research, merchandising and logistics management.
Your Responsibilities
- Knowledge of derivative markets.
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends, supply and demand dynamics, price movements, and competitor activities within the commodity market.
- Predicting future demand for the commodity based on various factors such as economic indicators, consumer behavior, and industry trends. Similarly, forecasting the future supply of the commodity by considering factors such as production capacity, weather patterns, and geopolitical events.
- Hedging of local and import positions, derivative arbitrages, pricing import and local market business.
- Developing new trading opportunities.
- Proven ability to work within a team-based work environment, focused on transparent and frank communication.
- Cursory knowledge of controlling warehouse management system and transportation management system.
- Agriculture or relative work experience is acceptable.
- Research skills to gather information from various sources such as market reports, industry publications, government data, and financial databases.
- Knowledge of commodity derivative trading and foreign exchange hedging.
- Experience in domestic trade, logistic, transportation.
- Proven controlling management ability.
- Strong problem-solving skill.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven success in working a very complex multicultural environment interacting with both internal team members from around the world, & customers in the region.
