Top Job Recruitment are working with an Engineering business based in Clacton-On-Sea, assisting them with the recruitment of a Technical Engineer on a fulltime basis.The position of Technical Engineer provides support for the CAD Technician and provides support to engineers and other staff.The roleTechnical description of products and their componentsOverseeing of preparation of technical drawings and specifications for workshop and customersOverseeing of production of technical drawings in compliance with standards and methodsCommunicate between customer and suppliers.Propose resolution to customer enquiries and problems.Overseeing of preparation of revised drawings as requiredOccasional site visits to survey area of installationOccasional site visits to discuss with clients and investigate their requirements.Overseeing preparation of programmes of worksOverseeing projectsSystem design to customer requirementsSupervision of CAD TechnicianAssist Sales Team with quotationsLiaise with Suppliers and Engineers and sales deptPrepare and design Plantrooms and ContainersAbility to understand Technical Drawings and explain to customers.Oversee Arrangements for TransportMaintaining Document Audit TrailAny Adhoc DutiesSkills & QualificationsAbility to multi-task, maintain and deliver excellent customer service.Would be beneficial to design products to British Standards, ASME and Harmonised European Standards.Would be beneficial to have the ability to design new boilers, pressure vessels and their systems, including communication with notified body (approved Engineering Company) training courses will be provided for the right candidate.Must have mechanical knowledge within steam, process, or other thermal engineering related environmentGood communication skills across all channels (face to face, telephone, email).Flexibility and enthusiasm to take charge of projects.Methodical, organised, and pro-active.Use of Data base systems and office packages (Office 365, Excel, Access)Proficient in any of the following is desirableSolidWorks and SolidWorks PDMAutodesk InventorAutodesk ShowcaseAutoCAD and AutoCAD Mechanical 3D CadWorking Conditions28 Days per annum inclusive of bank holidaysMonday to Friday - 8.30 am to 5pm.This is an office based roleSalary is dependent upon experience
