- Design Integration Solutions: Develop architectural designs for integration solutions that connect BrainHi's platform with various external systems, ensuring robustness and scalability.
- Develop and Implement Integrations: Write and deploy code necessary for integrating different systems. This includes developing APIs, middleware, and other necessary software components.
- Maintain Existing Integrations: Monitor and maintain the performance of existing integrations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure they continue to meet business needs and function correctly.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other engineering teams, product management, and customer support to align integration solutions with business requirements and user needs.
- Optimize Systems: Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and functionality of integration systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and comply with relevant health data regulations (like HIPAA) to protect patient information and system integrity.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture and integration processes and regularly report on project status and integration health.
- Experience: 10 years of experience or more in engineering roles
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between applications using APIs, EDI, HL7, or other relevant protocols.
- Backend Development: Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python to build reliable and scalable integrations.
- API Management: Familiarity with API management platforms and best practices for designing, implementing, and documenting APIs.
- Data Transformation: Experience with data mapping and transformation tools (e.g., XSLT, JSON, XML) to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange between systems.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of database design and management, SQL queries, and data modeling to support integration requirements.
- System Integration Testing: Ability to plan, execute, and document comprehensive integration testing to ensure the seamless functioning of integrated systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot integration issues and identify effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Excellent documentation skills to create and maintain technical specifications, integration diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to quickly learn new technologies and tools in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Healthcare Experience: Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7) is a plus.
