Thank you for your interest in Sedgwick County EMS Reserves.The Sedgwick County Emergency Service Medical Reserve Group is accepting applications for those individuals who wish to work as a pre-hospital care provider. Below are the eligibility requirements for the position:
  • Must have a current Kansas certification as an EMT, AEMT, or EMT-P
  • Must have a valid Kansas Driver's License
  • Must pass KBI background check and pre-employment urine drug screen
Other organizational requirements: attend the mandatory meetings and training on the 2nd and 4th Monday evening of each month, staff two standby's per month (SCEMS Reserve Corp members staff large civic events with medical personnel and staff PR Events), and ride third person on SCEMS Ambulance.You will perform BLS skills as outlined by the Emergency Medical Services System (EMSS) protocols, provide assistance to major disasters occurring in Sedgwick County, and drive//operate Sedgwick County EMS ambulances in emergency and non-emergency mode.
