This position is responsible for ensuring company compliance with Aviation Safety occurrence requirements as dictated by DoD, Service, Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) Customers, or contract statement of work.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Under general supervision and with intermittent review, this position supports Flight Operations, Manufacturing, and Sustainment (Field Operations) by assisting with incident/hazard tracking and government compliance efforts with specific emphasis on the Ground and Flight Risk Clause (GFRC) and Customer occurrence requirements.
  • Assist with incident and hazard investigations as required.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of DFARS 252.228-7001 (Ground and Flight Risk Clause (GFRC))
  • Maintain a working knowledge of United Kingdom Regulatory Articles.
  • Maintain a working of knowledge of customer occurrence reporting requirements in accordance with contract statements of work.
  • Track action items to closure deadlines.
  • Develop and implement aviation safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet company and customer objectives.
  • May participate in or lead presentations to customers and executive management on the Aviation Safety aspects of an issue, the proposed solution, and the status of implementation.
  • Observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in project administration. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite of applications.
  • Familiarity with DCMA Instruction 8210 and ground and flight operations conducted with DCMA oversight is desired.
  • Familiarity with DoD and/or aviation operations is desired.
  • Experience working with SAP is desired.
  • Must possess the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects.
  • The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of complex issues.
  • Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to quickly classify information/events based on the details provided.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance required.
