Location: Galway
Summary:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and proficient Bid Manager to join our clients team in Galway. In this role, you will lead the bid process from identifying opportunities to final proposal submission. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the punctual delivery of top-tier proposals aligned with client specifications, adeptly managing bid resources and finances, and ensuring adherence to all requisite guidelines. Additionally, you'll be tasked with staying abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform bid strategies.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and orchestrate the entire bid management process, from identifying opportunities to establishing timelines.
  • Manage bid budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure timely and high-quality proposal submissions.
  • Participate in negotiation sessions to secure favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and client needs assessment.
  • Craft compelling bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models, and technical responses.
  • Collaborate with pricing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with bid requirements and profitability targets.
  • Monitor bid performance metrics, analyze win/loss data, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously refine bid processes, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market insights, and emerging best practices in bid management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction/quantity surveying or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a bid manager, proposal manager, or similar role
  • Experience managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts
  • Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle and demonstrated success in winning bids
  • Familiarity with Irish market dynamics, contract laws, regulations, and industry-specific bid requirements
  • Proficiency in pricing strategies and financial analysis in bid development
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively
