The Automotive business unit is driving vehicle networking and making cars more energy-efficient. The networked car provides drivers with more safety and comfort on the road, and will soon be making road transport greener, more relaxing and safer by means of intelligent traffic management solutions. NXP supplies products for internal on-board networks, and also facilitates wireless connection between vehicles and the outside world.For our location in Toulouse, (also possible Munich, Eindhoven, Hamburg) we are looking for an experienced Product Architect (m/w) Automotive Radar / Advanced Driver Assistance SystemsYour responsibilities
  • Creation of innovative and disruptive product architectures in the area of Automotive Radar and ADAS applications by balancing performance, feature set, risk and development time.
  • You will own the technical leadership for Product development coordinates with R&D teams, Test and product engineering, from concept to mass-market introduction.
  • Steer and guide design teams to most effective and best technical solution
  • Assessing technical and standards trends, transferring into product requirements
  • Drives product partitioning and reference applications
  • Influencing future technology requirements on Semiconductor process nodes and key IP building blocks
  • Key technical interface for customers during product definition phase
  • Co-define Validation& Verification strategy together with other leads to best solution for product in charge
  • Competition benchmark and analysis.
Your profile
  • Experience in automotive electronics design, applications and functional safety concepts
  • Deep understanding of mixed signal communication and Radar systems including advanced modulation concepts.
  • Deep experience in embedded systems design and HW/SW co-design methodologies
  • Mmwave circuit and design knowledge
  • Radar application knowhow, including antenna dimensioning technologies
  • Semiconductors Material and Package technology for multi Ghz applications
  • Experience in SoC design and in advanced CMOS process nodes
  • Deep understanding in Digital Signal processing (DSP's) and programming
  • Knowledge of high level modeling languages (Matlab, System C etc.)
  • Requirements management procedures and tooling ( IBM DOORS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Automotive development processes (ISO26262)
  • Undertanding Functional Safety concepts for automotive
  • Creativity, yet with the focus on challenging but achievable goals
  • Open-minded for new ideas
  • Independent working style and willingness to listen and to adapt
  • The ability to interact smoothly with a diverse range of colleagues, customers and partners inside and outside of NXP
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus (or willingness to learn German)
  • Strong team player
  • Willingness to travel
