We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing team in the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex projects, improving efficiency, and ensuring all aspects of production run smoothly.
  • Lead and oversee complex engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a team to design machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure operations run smoothly and safely.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of industry trends and advancements.

Location: Workington|Salary: Up to £55,000A successful Senior Mechanical Engineer should have:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
  • The ability to work well in a team and to lead and motivate others.
