Southern Ecological Solutions (SES), part of the RSK Group, are recruiting for an experienced Habitats Creation and Management Operative to join their thriving team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance to the Essex office as it is offered on a hybrid working model.Southern Ecological Solutions are a specialist Landscape Planning & Design, Ecological and Arboricultural consultancy that has experienced continuous, sustainable growth over the last 10 years. We have become renowned by our clients for our pragmatic, solution-based approach to consultancy. We work for a variety of clients ranging from multinational prestigious organisations working on large high-profile projects to one off small projects for homeowners.Responsibilities
  • Carry out site work as required including planning and managing own time and scheduling to facilitate project deadlines.
  • Ensure that you follow company health and safety policies and procedures, engage with all H&S initiatives and communications, and actively take responsibility for your own personal safety. (See company H&S handbook and company polices and procedures)
  • Be present for and contribute to toolbox talks and site briefings as appropriate to the specific site and associated risks.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with approved method statements.
  • liaise with ecological contracting team to insure you are familiar with activities of SES and subcontract teams.
  • Provide support to the rest of the team by sharing and passing on knowledge and training where required.
Person Specification
  • All relevant H&S qualifications to cover the work being carried out.
  • Full driving license including towing ticket (where required)
  • CS30.2, CS31, CS32, CS38 , CS39
  • PA1 and/or PA6
  • Stump grinding, Wood chipper
  • Overnight stays may be required for specific projects
Salary and Benefits
  • £24,000 - £36,000 DOE
