About the roleMEP PRAM (Performance, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) ManagerAre you a dynamic PRAM Manager ready to elevate your career to new heights? We're actively seeking a passionate individual to join our team in a full-time permanent role, where you'll play a pivotal part in the groundbreaking HS2 project, Britain's futuristic high-speed railway.The PRAM Manager is responsible for the following PRAM management tasks:
Developing and updating of the PRAM Management Plan.
Engagement of design, operational, and other competent persons to participate in the PRAM
workshops.
Development of FMECA (Failure Mode, and Effects Analysis) for the MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical,
Instrumentation, Control and Automation) systems.
Developing PRAM Analysis for the demonstration of PRAM targets.
Review and monitor the PRAM activities of the supply chain.
Ensuring PRAM activities are undertaken in a timely manner by all parties in accordance with the
agreed programme.
Ensuring that designers, engineers and supply chain are aware of the design implications of PRAM
requirements.
Ensure procured equipment meets the PRAM targets (seeking documentary evidence from suppliers )
Review of reported failures and proposed corrective actions.What you'll be doing
  • Ensures that work/contracts are identified, progressed and fully costed
  • Identifies the key deliverables from the M&E specification
  • Identifies alternatives and creates features in order to differentiate the Balfour Beatty approach and satisfy the customer
  • Considers profitability & entitlement for the M&E elements throughout the design and construction process
  • Liaises closely with the Project Management teams to interview and appoint the right M&E contractors for each specific project
  • Maintains business relationships with the M&E supply chain and consultants
  • Manages design process, production of drawings/specification and Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • Embraces relevant sustainable practices, helping to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Co-ordinates statutory/utility approvals and the programme of installations
  • Ensures the M&E co-ordination meets the clients construction programme
  • Manages the M&E Installation to ensure the perfect landing at completion and zero defects
  • Co-ordinates the Operation & Maintenance information for project handover
  • Ensures energy targets and BREEAM requirements are met for each specific project
  • Lives the Balfour Beatty Values
  • Ensures a relentless focus on Zero Harm
  • Supports the delivery of CSUKs Sustainability activities
Who we're looking for
  • Fully understands the brief of the M&E work required within a project#
  • Has an understanding of M&E commercial rates across both labour, plant and materials
  • Keeps up to date with modern methods of construction
  • Has thorough knowledge of M&E installations
  • Has previous experience of Commissioning M&E systems and handovers
  • Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
  • Has an ability to understand and interrogate M&E specifications
  • Identifies the M&E critical path to ensure the installations meet the construction programme
  • Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
  • Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others
  • Is a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function
  • Has an enquiring and questioning approach to their work
  • Is able to work within a multi-discipline team
