Whether you're an experienced project manager, a skilled builder seeking a change, or a recent graduate passionate about project coordination, we want you on our team.Role Overview:As a Capital Project Coordinator at Golden Bay, you'll be at the heart of our operations in Portland, overseeing onsite capital projects and driving improvements. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating contractors and efficiently managing tasks efficiently
  • Ensuring stringent onsite safety standards and managing permits to work
  • Participating in larger projects, including planning, scheduling, and building design processes
  • Facilitating feedback workshops and fostering open communication with the team onsite to shape future developments.
What We Offer:This is a 12-month fixed-term role with potential for further progression as we have exciting projects on the horizon. While prior experience in project management or construction is beneficial, we're also open to nurturing and developing the right candidate from the ground up. Key attributes for success include strong commercial acumen, effective project delivery skills, impeccable organisational abilities, excellent communication, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Health and Safety.Requirements:
  • Exposure to project management or construction, either through hands-on experience or relevant education
  • Recent graduates with project experience are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in managing contractors, coordinating work execution plans, and ensuring H&S compliance
  • Comfortable with onsite tasks such as permit-to-work procedures and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Golden Bay's safety culture and processes.
