You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.What you'll be doingWe recognise training and development is key, therefore we provide a training portal to facilitate your needs as well as have an in-depth induction for all staff whether you have experience of working in prisons or not. You will gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards your RCGP level 2 and other qualifications should you wish.How will we support you?

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £130,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience. This is a full time job but we would consider part time applications.It doesn’t stop there… we also offer:

What we'll look for in youHMP Leicester is a Category B local prison holding men who are on remand as well as sentenced. It has an operational capacity of around 400. With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get.
