Industrial Engineer - AlbertonFull job descriptionMain job purposeTo establish and continuously improve work methods, processes, and system standards in order to achieve productivity at reduced costs and at a consistently good quality to support the organisation in achieving its overall objectives.Main ObjectiveTo conceptualise and estimate work station designs including work methods, operating times, labour costs and other resources required to determine feasibility of customer enquiries.To design detailed work stations on approved projects, including accurate process flow charts, process and plant layout documentation in accordance with project plan objectives and deadlines. i.e. cost and headcount targets.To effectively construct, commission and have signed off workstations designed to meet the agreed project requirements, by sourcing materials, testing, training and monitoring overall effectiveness of the process and work station in line with project budget requirements.To investigate, analyse and resolve issues in an effective and timely manner, in order to minimise downtime and avoid the reoccurrence of the same issues in future.To ensure that all relevant documentation relating to work stations and process flows are up-to-date, signed off and implemented.To identify and implement improved workstations and processes on an ongoing basis to reduce costs and improve efficiencies on an ongoing basis using global best practices.To identify and eliminate waste to support drive to continuous improvement and achieve waste reduction plans.To continually research current best practice in order to advise and apply same at Widney to support overall business objectives.To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.Critical job requirementsDiploma in Industrial EngineeringAt least 2 years experience as an Industrial EngineerAt least 2 years experience in a Manufacturing Industry as an Industrial EngineerKnowledge and SkillsWork studyWork station and process designComputer skills (MS Word, Excel)CADMathematical and analytical abilityFacilitation and presentation skillsProblem solving skillsDetail consciousInterpersonal skillsCommunication skills (verbal and written)Time management, planning and organising, deadline orientationJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
