- Develop and implement rail logistics strategies in alignment with Tessenderlo Kerley's five-year strategic plans and business unit (BU) goals.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, routing and tracking of all railcar movements to ensure timely and safe delivery of products.
- Lead negotiations with rail shippers and equipment vendors to secure favorable freight rates and terms.
- Spearhead the development and refinement of delivery service policies and procedures to boost customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct periodic risk analyses and manage licensing and permits for new and existing rail equipment.
- Collaborate closely with ICT, customers and vendors to leverage EDI technology for enhanced value creation.
- Manage a team of three by fostering a culture of integrity, accountability and collaboration.
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least five years in the industry.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively; previous management experience is highly desirable.
- Technical and analytical prowess, with a deep understanding of FRA regulations and safety compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in various SAP modules, MS Office and other technology tools.
