SummaryJob ref: 15305Job Type:Location: Cork - HybridContract type: PermanentClosing Date: 30 June 2024Sales ManagerWe are now inviting applications for the position of a Donnybrook Fair Sales Manager to join our Donnybrook Fair to support the continuing growth of The DF Brand across our SuperValu & Centra stores.This role will be based in Cork, but you will be required to cover the Munster and Connacht area for the most part in the field, while supporting colleagues in different regions across the island of Ireland. Key responsibilities of the role will include the following but not limited to:
  • Delivery of Donnybrook Fair sales budget and commercial targets, across regions and individual stores
  • Development and implementation of the relevant commercial plan with the Musgrave retail & wholesale brand teams
  • Delivery of both the SuperValu & Centra commercial plan targets and instore category innovation targets, linked specifically to our Innovation brands
  • Design and successful delivery of the annual sales & operations plan and achievement of the sales team objectives
  • Team engagement and quarterly tooling up of the team to deliver the sales plan
  • Resource and capacity planning of the team and provide leadership through coaching, motivation and communication
  • Carry out business analysis in conjunction with our customers, to identify areas of potential growth in sales, margin and profit and develop action plans to deliver same for the relevant brand
  • Identify and engage relevant potential sites, based on key agreed metrics, for all our Innovation brands
  • Manage & maintain the expected standard The Donnybrook Fair brand in stores in line with brand guidelines
  • Support the Innovations team on the delivery of ad hoc tasks /projects when required
  • Responsibility for working with our retailers to deliver our brands and ranges to the highest mutually agreed and expected standards
  • Respond to operational requests /support from our retailers in a timely, efficient and effective manner
  • Local marketing and sales support, set up of our Donnybrook Fair standards and delivery planning
  • Regular reporting and updates to internal colleagues and stakeholders on the sales & commercial performance of The Donnybrook Fair in our retail partner zones & stores
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • 5 years' experience in a sales position within the retail or wholesale sectors, a proven operational track record in general retail and a proven track record in leading operational teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
  • Commercial acumen & strategic business planning, value selling skills and customer focus
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills, the ability to build long term, stable relationships with innovative retailers
  • Experience of working with retailers and owners across all sectors of the FMCG industry, from large Multiples to high transient convenience stores, and understanding the shopper missions within.
  • Strong understanding of the macro convenience & multiple market in ROI and project management skills
  • Ability to work to one's own initiative, Proficient with the MS Office suite - Word /Excel/PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and experience of presenting
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, demonstrate good attention to detail and demonstrate good judgment through logical decision making.
