  • Build reliable tools and processes to make our engineers more productive and autonomous.
  • Help our DevOps teams utilise their CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment standards.
  • Take initiative for driving the optimisation of our cloud computing costs.
  • Manage and drive the adoption of observability within the engineering teams (Service Level Indicators & Objectives), and best practices for monitoring various cloud services.
  • Ensure key operational processes (on-call, incident, ORR, etc.) are continually improved, documented and communicated.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Security and Architecture teams to enable you to be successful.
  • Spread a SRE culture within Baringa engineering teams.
  • Work on escalated L3+ service desk tickets or incidents.
So, what are we looking for?We recruit individuals at all levels based on merit. Don't worry about 'fitting into a quota'; if you can demonstrate some of the skills we are after we would love to hear from you. Some of the key sills we are looking for:
  • Experience working in a cloud-native environment, using modern technology stacks.
  • Proficient in Public Cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Experience with serverless compute technologies, containerised workloads and orchestration platforms.
  • Exposure to working within an automation-heavy CloudOps environment.
  • Experience with SRE methodologies such as monitoring, reliability, SLIs and SLOs, and toil management.
  • Experience implementing, running and optimising modern Observability solutions (ideally Prometheus/Grafana/Loki/ELK or Datadog, NewRelic, Dynatrace etc)
