If you're excited to be part of a winning team, CirrusLabs (http://www.cirruslabs.io) is a great place to grow your career.Financial Management AnalystThe analyst's role for the Office of Data Security and Technology (ODST) will be to provide support, planning, managing, and evaluating ODST financial administration. Additionally, this role will help optimize systems and procedures, evaluate financial operations, and develop solutions to make improvements or address process issues. The analyst will compile, organize, assess, and communicate the financial status of the division using analytical tools. They will also measure actual financial standing against predetermined financial goals, identify areas for improvement, predict financial impact, and create plans based on data.Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties, exercising sound independent judgment to address complex issues with minimal or no supervision.
  • Provide administration in a timely efficient manner, with attention given to the accuracy of detail.
  • Assemble and maintain budget data in preparation of the preliminary and final budget and forecast.
  • Analyze, review and report on division spend against budget and forecast, as well as tracking metrics.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reporting that clearly and concisely exhibits the current state of the ODST budget.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to staff at various levels providing narrative explanations for variances.
  • Plan and coordinate asset disposals in conjunction with Office of Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) teams.
  • Maintain, support, and reconcile asset disposal records and the division's asset management platform.
  • Assist with hardware and software purchase receiving audits.
  • Create/update documentation related to department processes, controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and approve procurement requisitions to determine if requests are reasonable and within budgeted range.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology or related field.
  • Five plus years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating administrative, financial, and operations functions.
  • Firm grasp of finance and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and knowledge of multiple database systems, including proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex sets of data.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to the client Washington, DC, or Ashburn, VA office occasionally, as required.
  • A self-starter able to administer several open, ongoing assignments at any one time, where some assignments are routinely unstructured, requiring autonomy and independent judgment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate a position with sound logic, supporting empirical evidence, and impartiality.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the information technology field.
