Job Description:The Data Protection and Privacy Manager is a pivotal role in helping ensure Future meets its data protection and privacy obligations, working closely with the Head of Data Protection and Privacy, Data Protection Executive and Legal team in supporting stakeholders to maintain data protection standards and support business and client change.What you'll be doing...This role requires an experienced data protection professional to help further build a data protection culture by driving required changes across this global business. Reporting to the Head of Data Protection and Privacy, the Data Protection and Privacy Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the implementation ensuring that we meet our obligations, with specific management responsibilities in our uses of UK and US consumer data, specifically Go.Compare, subscriptions, and innovative partner data offerings.Experience that'll put you ahead of the curve...
  • Detailed knowledge of data protection legislation, in particular the GDPR and PECR, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks, such as the CCPA/CPRA and COPPA.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with customer complaints, supporting subject access requests, data breach management, and data protection awareness requirements.
  • Able to deliver robust and appropriate advice, plus exercise sound judgement.
  • Experience in independently, quickly and accurately assessing legal, practical and business risks, as well as risks to data subjects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills.
  • Strong team player and proven ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong work ethic - comfortable working to tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
