Loving heart? Called to serve? Constellation Hospice is looking for volunteers to visit patients who have a terminal illness. Make a difference in your community, be part of the hospice team, and have a flexible volunteer schedule. One hour a week can make a big difference to someone nearing the end of life!Volunteers may engage in conversation, read to a patient, look at pictures together, share music or videos on your phone, simply provide a compassionate presence, or other activities.Volunteers Needed in the Norwood, MA area.Requirements:
18 years old +
Able to commit for one year to our program
Ability to listen deeply, interest in and compassion for others, good boundaries and self care, meet people where they’re at in energy and tone
Online training takes ~ 20 hours and is personally enriching, focusing on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy
No close death in the last year
