- Promote awareness and ensure facilities are compliant with physical security standards/policy and business continuity plans.
- Crisis management support, including being responsible to provide knowledge and expertise to the regional Crisis Management Team and to assist with implementing a crisis management plan when needed.
- Conduct or assist in investigations into allegations of wrongdoing, suspicious activity, or workplace violence in coordination with internal stakeholders (HR, Compliance, and others) and external partners.
- Managing the regional travel risk management program by providing security guidance and resources to ensure the safety of employees to high or very high-risk areas in the region, provide pre-deployment briefings and on-call assistance as required.
- Provide oversight and consultation support for security technology projects including CCTV, access control and alarm systems in collaboration with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), IT, and others.
- Develop and conduct security related training for employees as needed in areas such as travel security, workplace violence, security awareness and loss prevention.
- Develop and maintain security-related networks including in-country law enforcement agencies, government intelligence services, private security companies, relevant regional security organizations including OSAC Country Councils, the Regional Security Officers, ASIS, ISMA, and others.
- Support Executive Protection and Special Event Security as needed in the region.
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or related field.
- Prior law enforcement, military, and/or corporate security experience.
- Proficient in English and one regional language - e.g., Spanish or Portuguese.
- Experience conducting investigations on a variety of complex matters such as criminal activity, security violations, significant misconduct, intellectual property, trade secrets, etc.
- Proficient in conducting interviews under various circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Broad experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheets, database and training/presentation software.
- Ability to travel throughout the region as needed.
