P6 Planner - South AfricaFull job descriptionOur long-standing manufacturing client in Bolton are looking for an experienced and capable P6 Programme Planner to join their ever-growing team.They cover manufacturing projects for the nuclear, oil and gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water industries and so the work is varied and complex at times.Overview:Scheduling of defined scope over multiple projects to meet contract requirements usingUpdating of Primavera P6 schedules in line with progress and contractual movementAssist Senior Planner/Project Manager where requiredResponsibilities:Update schedules at the contracted intervals throughout the project life cycle in accordancewith contract changesMaterially contribute to the creation of effective WBSLiaise with internal resources to ensure project schedule is realistic and achievable andidentify important schedule related risksManage dependencies and maintain a critical path.Update schedule content with Early Warning Notices and Compensation Event NoticesSeek opportunities to avoid schedule prolongation in the event of change and delayedactivity completions and reduce critical path durationMaintain and process of information from different entities and coordinate in a controlledprocessWork closely with the project team, subcontractors and financial team to maintain accurateand up to date data for multiple stages of multiple projectsReporting and planning reviews with clients and others requiring information for ongoingplanning reporting cyclesWork closely with the reporting function, inputting into their process and regular cycleIdentify issues and escalate to the project manager as appropriateManage production of appropriate project documentationApply agreed planning standards and ensure they are adopted and embedded across inthe programmeTransfer skills and knowledge to other staff members as appropriateAny other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of thepostRequirements:Ability of managing multiple projects at differing stagesProficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel to maintain schedulesBe a team player with management skills to facilitate the ability to receive and extractinformationDemonstrate the process of the information coordination and presentationWorking autonomously and in a team environmentProven project planning experience within an engineering environmentUnderstanding of business planning and pipeline analysisAbility to work at pace and under pressure, with initiative and can-do attitudeGood written and verbal communication skillsOn offer:Please call Darcie on 07931 961971 or send your CV to darcie@projectstart.co.uk to prompt a call-back#J-18808-LjbffrReport job
