To learn more visit:You will…- Own the review process for a driverless system including discovering issues, reporting to the appropriate owners and coordinating resolutions through excellent root cause analysis.- Act as a liaison between the Systems Engineering team and the autonomy software development teams to drive progress towards Waabi's product and safety goals.- Help drive Waabi's safety culture through application of safety standards and methodologies in your area of responsibility across all supporting teams at Waabi including Systems Engineering, Hardware and Software.- Define the structure and manner to document and report on specific system and subsystem performance metrics.- Support the documentation and tracing of all product and system requirements to tests and their executions.- Continuously evaluate and enhance Waabi's behavioral evaluation capabilities, look for novel approaches, identify and apply lessons learned and ensure a detailed and comprehensive documentation that is easily accessible.- Influence tool designs and methodologies to streamline and automate the triage processes where applicable.- Work with external partners on gathering data and information related to driving behaviors of trucks as well as on supporting a strong safety case for the complete self-driving system.Qualifications:- Undergrad required; Undergrad or Masters in an engineering discipline preferred.- 3+ years of automotive, robotics, aerospace or related industry experience.- Experience with requirements and metrics for driving behavior evaluations.- Experience with root causing complex systems in structured and unstructured testing.- Experience with methods and standards such as STPA, SOTIF (ISO 21448) and / or UL 4600.- Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering and physics.- Ability to communicate complex concepts or data in a simple-yet-accurate manner.- Excellent data analysis skills with modern tools such as Python or Matlab.- Open-minded and collaborative leader who is eager to provide guidance and has the willingness to help others.- Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.Bonus/nice to have:- Experience in launching a driverless product.- Experience in the automotive self driving industry.- Experience building software systems from scratch.- Experience in robotics or machine learning.- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.The US yearly salary range for this role is: $85,000 - $150,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.'s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company's compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
