Our client, a family-owned, mixed cropping and cattle enterprise, located in Moora, WA are seeking a Farm Manager to join their team. Starting in July, this position will oversee all cattle operations including feeding, mustering, animal husbandry and yard work as well as manage the overall broadacre cropping program (400ha) including seeding, spraying & harvesting. Suitable for someone with strong cattle knowledge and good broadacre cropping skills, preferably a non-smoker. About the Role:
  • Start date: July 2024;
  • Day to day running & operating of the farm;
  • Oversee cattle including feeding, husbandry and yard work;
  • Operate all broadacre machinery including; seeders, sprayers & headers;
  • Cropping: wheat & hay;
  • Machinery: DBS flexicoil seeder, New Holland CR960, Cat Challenger, Nitro Sprayer;
  • Oversee staff during seasonal & busy periods;
  • Machinery maintenance;
  • General yard work;
  • Small team of 2 plus casuals;
About you:
  • 2+ years experience with operating broadacre machinery
  • Good livestock management knowledge in cattle;
  • GPS/Autosteer knowledge desirable;
  • Ability to make independent decisions with good judgement;
  • Honest and reliable - knows when to report issues with gear etc;
  • Preferably non-smoker;
  • C-Class essential, HR desirable;

  • Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience;
  • Standard hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm, seasonal hours may vary;
