Demand Planning Manager - E-commerce

• Lead and manage a small team based in Hong Kong and Shanghai
• Oversee demand planning and forecasting for a wide range of over a thousand of SKUs
• Optimize container booking and inventory flow to ensure efficient operations
• Achieve optimal inventory levels by balancing in-stock rates and inventory turnover
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the demand planning process

• Review and validate weekly buy plans, adjusting them to align with the latest sales trends
• Monitor sales trends closely and respond promptly with appropriate actions, such as placing additional purchase orders or suggesting shipment delays
• Maintain and improve the forecasting tool to enhance forecasting accuracy
• Track key metrics like shipment lead times, production lead times, and replenishment levels for different product categories

• Supervise the Shanghai team in container booking, keeping abreast of market shipping rates and managing shipment approvals
• Collaborate with the US logistics team to ensure timely container receipt and return
• Prioritize unloading of "hot containers" in the warehouse
• Participate in weekly calls with the US logistics team to discuss volumes, warehouse occupancy, and container flow management

• Work with the technical team to maintain clean and accurate databases

• Spot aging inventory and coordinate action plans with the sales team
• Generate regular inventory reports for management review
• Implement improvement plans to achieve inventory targets

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related area
• 5+ years experience in the retail, FMCG, or eCommerce industry
• Proven track record in effectively leading and managing small teams
• Good communication abilities and a collaborative approach
• Show the capacity to work autonomously, handle pressure, and foster effective collaboration
• Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and expertise in utilizing demand forecasting tools
