The role will be required to provide supervisory direction and guidance to Tactical Buyers and prioritize activities on a regular frequency. Additionally, the Tactical Buer Team Leader will need to measure SLAs and KPIs for the tactical procurement team which meet or exceed the expectations of the region/service and support the GBU and BLs.Missions and Responsibilities:Drive innovative solutions to optimize resources and headcountManage and resolve internal and external conflict as an escalation pathProvide general supervisory and instructional direction to a team of tactical buyersCapture and cascade knowledge of global/regional commodity strategies to their respective teamsEnsure accuracy of order placement and cancelationInterface with other shared services (Accounting) to capture required changes or modifications to purchase order documentsEnsure proper execution to process and procedure as per ChorusMaintain regulatory compliance to Thales, regional, federal, or local laws & requirementsDevelop, lead and execute purchasing strategiesTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessForecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier powerMonitor and forecast upcoming levels of demandRequirements:Bachelor Degree in engineering, business, supply chain, finance, or economics (required)5+ years of procurement experience in a large multinational project, product, and solutions based settingStrong working knowledge of various ERPsUnderstanding of general business process and flowStrong working knowledge of procurement foundational elementsManagerial understanding and capabilityUnderstanding of relevant tax codes and financial reporting methodologiesEnglish (required)#LI-Onsite#LI-AM2At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
