We are now looking for a dedicated Divisional Controller to oversee the financial control and reporting for our division. You will have a central role, working closely with senior management across Global solutions that develop and produce the sorting solutions and our three regions (EMEA, APAC and Americas) that sell to and serve our customers.Reporting to the SVP Finance and working in collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient management of day-to-day financial operations for the division. This role is primarily responsible for financial control, consolidation, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and for identifying and driving improvements. The day-to-day operations also includes overseeing cash flow management, working capital and treasury operations.We are transforming TOMRA Food to take the next step as sustainably profitable growth company, leveraging cutting-edge technology to meet our customers' business needs in food sorting. Recognizing the challenges of market cyclicality, we are adapting our organizational structure and operating model to enhance profitability. This role is pivotal in establishing and implementing best-practice financial processes throughout the organization to support our transformation.This role requires a deep understanding of financial control, compliance, and business acumen in a technology environment with production and global sales. The position will require interaction and communication with all functions and subsidiaries within the TOMRA group, thus giving excellent insight into the whole value chain of a leading technology company.QualificationsWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • MSc in Finance or similar - MBA is considered a plus
  • >7 years’ working experience (preferably in an industrial financial controlling position or in audit)
  • Profound IFRS knowledge
  • Consolidation experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong networker, pragmatic problem solver and convincing personality
  • ERP experience (preferably IFS)
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Willingness to travel extensively (~20%, more in periods)
  • Ready to work across time zones, to empower and to follow up
Main responsibilities:Financial Stewardship and Compliance: Enhance financial control processes, policies, and procedures to protect assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate records. This includes managing audits, overseeing cash flow, and ensuring financial reporting aligns with group standards and timelines. Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and drive the simplification of month-end and year-end close processes.Performance Analysis and Optimization: Actively support the analysis of divisional reports and financial results to identify improvement areas. Monitor divisional expenses to uncover cost optimization and efficiency opportunities. Provide a holistic view of financial data to understand its impact on business performance, challenging and refining business strategies and assumptions with analytical insights.Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead reporting efforts, ensuring they align with the company’s goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial strategies support broader business objectives, offering constructive feedback to drive informed decisions. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, be a driver for the further development of the finance organization.Leadership and Cultural Ambassador: Although not managing a team directly, embody and promote TOMRA's values, fostering collaboration, clear and effective communication, and a positive work environment – impact will be through working with and driving change through the regional finance teams. Prioritize health and safety by adhering to and promoting compliance with legal obligations and standards.
