- Providing guidance and support to audit teams as they identify new automation opportunities.
- Autonomously identifying new use cases for automation tools and working on proof of concept to assess usefulness.
- Supporting, writing, and managing the definition of business requirements and functional requirements, as required, to convert automation ideas into usable automated functionality in audit testing or risk monitoring.
- Monitoring and assisting the Automation development teams to drive timely and quality delivery of automation capabilities.
- Working with the Automation development teams to assess skill and infrastructure needs based on the pipeline of new tools needed to support the audit team.
- Understands the basics of the software development lifecycle and the role of the business analyst within it.
- Understands internal audit’s role and objectives and how automation can be leveraged for risk monitoring or control testing.
- Has a keen interest in exploring new automation developments and assess them for their potential applicability to auditing.
- Can identify ways to exploit automation tools for audit testing and risk monitoring.,
- Can translate automation ideas into business and functional requirements that a software developer can use.
- Can quickly understand and exploit the metadata of commonly used data sources to be able to assist developers in fine tuning automation reports to meet the audit objective.
- A good communicator who can explain the advantages of, and train auditors on, new automation tools.
- An understanding of Global Market, Global Banking or Market Risk.
- Coding proficiency.
- Ability to use data analytics applications.
