DescriptionZachary Daniels are delighted to be supporting this rapidly growing retailer in the appointment of a new Product Development Data Analyst to bring into their established team to further strengthen their head office function.The Product Development Data Analyst's primary responsibility is full ownership of the product side of data, via a suite of recurring business reports and interactive dashboards provided to the business, using Power BI, or similar software dashboards alongside utilising excel.As Product Development Data Analyst you will be responsible for:
  • Analysing and providing meaningful data and insights around new and existing product performance trends.
  • Monitoring general industry trends, identifying potential opportunities and/or highlighting potential missed opportunities and proposing product lifecycle closeout.
  • Ensuring the company can make informed decisions to stay ahead of the curve ensuring the company has full awareness of the data trends to enable continued sales growth.
  • The role will also encompass range management control to assist the company, via data and trends, to carefully manage its product portfolio. This will be achieved by obtaining sales, product, and performance data from a variety of sources.
  • Producing and maintain competitor analysis report for online industry competition and present this to management as and when required.
To be considered for this role you will need to display the following:
  • Experienced Data Analyst
  • Experience of analysing large data sets, including data warehousing and segmentation
  • Experience of using data visualisation software, PowerBi, Tableau etc
  • Expert knowledge of excel formulas and pivot tables.
  • Able to liaise with internal stakeholders and manage & deliver on a roadmap to achieving the aims of the business.
  • Prioritise Continuous Documentation and management of existing documentation, ensuring ease of knowledge transfer.
  • Driven, motivated, and have initiative, as there is a high degree of independence within an entrepreneurial climate.
  • A creative problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to the business.
  • Time management skills, and work with a range of complex tasks towards deadlines.
  • Able to interpret and understand data requirements from different areas of the business.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret large data sets and identify trends.
