- Engages and partners with the business and the Technology organization to monitor and provide visibility to key security risks and status of remediation.
- Understands strategic security plan and how activities contribute to advancing the reduction of security risk across the organization.
- Performs tracking and reporting of security risks across varying levels of stakeholders, including technology and risk owners.
- Performs routine governance of security standards as directed, which may include ensuring coverage across key technologies and process, routine maintenance, and accessibility across the organization.
- Performs governance of key security controls that align with strategic security plan.
- Educates technology owners on the risk management process and their responsibilities, including performance of key security controls and risk remediation.
- Performs continuous monitoring of key security controls across the technology environment.
- Contributes to routine and ad hoc presentations for executive leadership to ensure awareness and alignment on security risks and initiatives and support key security decisions.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or a related discipline and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, OR Masters of Science in a related discipline + 2 years of experience.
- 4+ years of experience working in information security controls, information technology audit, or security risk management.
- Experience escalating risk issues to leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Strong understanding and experience with information security technologies.
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands, changing priorities, and rapid change, while multitasking effectively.
- Experience contributing to executive level presentations.
- Professional services/Big Four consulting background.
- Fortune 500 company experience.
- Telecom/Cable industry experience.
- At least one relevant industry certification - CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.
