ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a leading player in the food industry, committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to its customers, is seeking: General Manager - Karditsa (Ref. 5537/GM/ESS/GR) Profile: The Εxecutive in this newly established role, reporting to the CEO, will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of company’s operation and be responsible for strategic planning, resource management, while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in the production sector and a proven track record of success in driving business growth. Responsibilities: Oversee core departmental functions by setting guidelines, monitoring operations and addressing issues. Based on the strategic plans, set clear and achievable objectives for the organization to drive performance and growth. Develop comprehensive budget plans that align with organizational goals and priorities. Allocate resources effectively to optimize performance while minimizing costs. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity. Provide strong leadership to staff, fostering a positive work environment built on trust, collaboration and accountability. Develop strategic external partnerships and oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations and quality assurance. Evolve comprehensive control plans to mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance with regulations. Monitor performance metrics and key indicators to track progress and make data-driven decisions. Evaluate financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Requirements: Business or Technical degree. Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or MBA is highly desired. At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles preferably in food industry. Strong understanding of production processes, workflow intensities, familiarity with quality assurance systems, supply chain management & inventory control. Basic knowledge of commercial and industrial legislation. Good command of the English language. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Softone) and Excel. Innovative, goal-driven and determined. Represent the company professionally and positively in external interactions with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills, for establishing respectful and positive relationships. Understanding of market dynamics, seizing opportunities and mitigating risks. Strong negotiation skills to effectively engage with employees, clients and suppliers. Lead by example and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Ability to adhere to deadlines and successfully execute corporate projects.
