This individual will focus on understanding and representing the health plan, including the company’s mission and vision, community presence, core products and services, and continuous advancements.

The individual is responsible for writing (technical and creative), proofing, managing expenses, and editing printed and electronic communications prior to distribution to key audiences (health plan members, benefits administrators, brokers, employers, and physicians). Maintains positive and professional relationship with Sales, Compliance, Digital Innovations, and all interfacing Departments. Responsible for translating Sentara Health Plans business strategies into communications. Direct interaction with vendors and brokers and GA's to foster and build relationships. 4 years of Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or related field OR 2 years of internal company experience required. 1 year Healthcare experience preferred.This position is on the RFP/Proposal Team.
