Position Title: People & Culture Business Partner-India Reports to: Vice President - People and Culture Unit/ Department: Group People & Culture Office Location : Future Pipe Industries Services Private Limited, 12th Floor,129,140,Greams Road, Thousand Lights West, Chennai, Tamil Nadu - 600 006 Job Purpose Support and represent FPI Corporate P&C policies through the execution of all P&C activities within India that result in the recruitment and maintenance of a competent workforce. Ensure that all recruitment, generalist P&C activities, manpower planning and performance management and recruitment activities are effectively managed to maintain the Company's manpower resources at the required levels (numbers, mix, knowledge, skills and competencies) needed to achieve business objectives. Key Accountabilities Implement P&C Policies, Procedures and Practices Manage P&C policies & procedures within the plant & Sales Offices that result in competent and motivated workforce Advise plant manager & line personnel of all P&C policies Support introduction of global P&C practices that are consistent throughout the FPI Produce reports to ensure P&C activities are on-track Recommend improvements to increase P&C service efficiency Recruiting Implement recruitment processes to ensure the plant's manpower requirements are met Identify the most efficient/cost-effective recruiting sources (newspaper, agencies, employment/college fairs, etc.) Manage recruitment process in-line with approved budget and manpower plans. Screen applicants, in conjunction with the line personnel, to identify qualified candidates Manage the interview process (schedule, prepare questions, participate as an interviewer) Manage the offer process in accordance with approved hiring and grading system Employee Relations Apply P&C policies and procedures with fairness and integrity to maintain good working relations throughout the plant Plan and conduct new employee orientation program Manage staff medical and accident insurance programs Maintain employee's files in line with company policy and legal requirements Manage all labour relations & government reporting activities Participate in the investigation and resolution of employee relation problems Performance Management Implement the company's Performance Management in accordance with FPI Corporate P&C requirements Discuss performance review program with each supervisor Check job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect the job duties and responsibilities Brief/trains employees on the performance review system and explain the benefits of the system Develop schedule for annual employee reviews Maintains record of performance evaluations Compensation & Benefits Ensure Payroll activities are completed correctly Ensure timely release of payments to employees related to allowances and other benefits Training & Development Assist in conducting and organizing training sessions Coordinate with line managers for training needs identification Maintain training records for all staff to monitor development and program effectiveness Quality, Health & Safety programs Ensure QHSE systems are in place in for the plant Ensure compliance with the local laws and regulations Participate (as needed) in QHSE audits, office inductions, incident reporting Span of Communication Internal: Corporate P&C, Line Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Employees External: Labour & Health Ministries, Chamber of Commerce, Government Authorities, Contractors, Recruitment & Training Agencies Qualification, Skills and Experience: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (HR Management, Organization Development or Business preferred) MBA/Master or senior level experience in HR Is highly desirable Preferred Experience 7 to 10 years' relevant experience in HR activities Job Specific Skills Knowledge of local labour laws and regulation and employment contracts Up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practices Ability to work independently and handle a variety of duties and responsibilities Competencies Highly effective time management skills Ability to prepare reports and keep accurate records Exceptional communication skills across all levels of an organization Highly effective oral and written communication skills in English
