Mechanical Services Design Draughtsperson

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop wet and fire protection system designs based on project specifications and requirements.
• Create detailed drawings, schematics, and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional drafting methods.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire protection codes, regulations, and standards.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary data and assess project requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to select appropriate wet and fire protection system components.
• Prepare material take-offs and assist with cost estimation.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to identify potential clashes or conflicts with wet and fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate system integration.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a Draughtsperson in wet and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of wet and fire protection system design principles, codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with building construction processes and terminology.
• Knowledge of hydraulic calculations and fire suppression system design.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
