Leads a large geographic spread; spanning multiple states in varying territories and regional locations. The Field Regional Executive has responsibility for top and bottom-line performance and strategy. Provides advanced level of expertise and guidance within industry supported. Viewed as an expert providing both consultation and guidance on strategy development, execution, and ongoing management of the industries. This role typically leads an industry space of about $500 Million dollars under limited direction. Typically has direct report management responsibility of other Regional Vice Presidents and Middle Market Field leadership.This is a Full-time, Exempt role. This is a Hybrid position.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Further emphasis on longer range strategic planning across the region. Including strategy optimization, ongoing evaluation of progress and opportunities, ensuring focus on most important places and making hard decisions when needed.
  • Evaluating and prioritizing with field and business leaders on how to achieve both near and longer-range goals.
  • Sets direction on sales pipelining prioritization across the region, diving deeper into places when needed.
  • Close partnership with all BU heads (Core CL, Specialty and PL) to align on business and distribution strategy and planned approach to execute towards key business objectives.
  • Cascade’s strategy insights within and across field leadership, ensures alignment and focus on region and branch levels aligned with expectations.
  • Heavy partnership with Regional Vice Presidents and key field business partnerships (Chief Underwriting Officer, Regional Sales Director, Regional Finance Director).
  • Held accountable for delivering on regional commitments and achieving targeted outcomes within home territory and wider region. Aggressive performance coaching of team.
  • Lead by example and hold others accountable to:
  • Achieving agreed upon business priorities and goals.
  • High standards of ongoing performance and talent management and making tough decisions when needed.
  • Ongoing development and progression of talent team members.
Required Skills, Key Competencies and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced management degree preferred).
  • 20+ years of insurance experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within industry practice including the ability to manage and lead individuals.
  • Professional designations desired but not required.
