We are an ambitious team with a pretty big ‘to-do list’ including improving existing products, building new ones, and delivering to new markets.The RoleAs an Engineer, you will work with multi functional teams helping to develop, deliver, and support financial systems for high profile clients across EMEA. You will utilise your skills in both Java and Oracle to design and implement software solutions, ensuring high quality and efficient code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret business requirements and participate in agile development practices such as user story refinement and sprint planning. In addition, you will be responsible for writing technical specifications and maintaining documentation.As a member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping and growing our Professional Service function. You will mentor and support junior colleagues, providing guidance in problem resolution and promoting knowledge sharing.   • Develop and maintain scalable software applications that capture and provide data, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Design and implementation of system developments, enhancements and deployments
  • Create and peer review code in the LDMS version control system
  • Collaborate with other engineering team members to refine and provide estimates for upcoming work items
  • Develop software in a professional manner, producing stable applications closely matching the user’s needs.
  • Participation in all team ceremonies to help guide the team’s successful delivery of software and the continual improvement of its processes.
  • Working with and challenging other team members to produce high quality software.
  • Assist in the analysis and resolution of production issues
RequirementsYou should have a strong proficiency in Java programming language and experience in Oracle PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.Key skills we are looking for include:
  • Strong Java development skills
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
