- An accomplished Health and Safety Manager with a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in similar roles as senior safety lead, multi-site safety lead, trainer, strategy developer and team coach.
- Possess an excellent Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality management background within the; construction construction sector.
- Possess an excellent knowledge of construction operations, materials, and full project methodology life cycle experience including pre-development, project delivery, and maintenance.
- Experience of working with senior managers.
- Experience of successfully managing and motivating a team.
- Knowledge of CDM, fire and asbestos regulations.
- Experience with CITB, CSCS, Considerate Constructor, SSIP schemes
- Experience of writing, reviewing and implementing on site procedures.
- Experience of communicating effectively verbally and in writing to senior managers and writing reports.
- Evidence of continued professional and personal development
- A chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
- Environmental certification / IEAMA membership
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice.
- Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a construction environment.
- Fully conversant with UK construction health, safety and environmental standards, ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO 45001
- Comfortable dealing with clients, architects and sub-contractors
- Coaching and mentoring skills to develop and support both managerial and operational staff to meet company and individual needs
- Familiar with the fundamental aspects of sustainability and how to incorporate these into working practices and the supply chain.
