This role sits in the GCIO office, and works closely with affiliated asset management company, local insurance entities, as well as other relevant Group functions.Principal accountabilities:
  • Investment system and data: responsible for the design and management of the Group investment system and data, working closely with reporting/system/data teams in affiliated asset management company and local insurance units.
  • Promote usage of current Group investment system by setting up templates for all users and training new users
  • Develop internal reporting tools such as PowerBI sites for efficient reporting and portfolio monitoring
  • Data vendor negotiation
  • Data accuracy verification
  • Investment reporting: responsible for setting up the quarterly and monthly investment reporting template, taking views from various key stakeholders, and achieve synergy with local insurance units.
  • Ad hoc investment projects and operations support.
Core Competences Required:
  • Strong investment system and data knowledge and background; Aladdin and PowerBI skills are a plus; Data vendor experience is a plus; investment operations experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build effective relationships and liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders including senior leaders across different specialisms
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy and apply judgement to the results of analysis, all in the context of materiality and understand “the big picture”
  • Able to work independently with a proactive mindset in challenging existing process
  • Ability to work under pressure, flexibly deal with workloads, priorities, and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support business units
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education and Experience: 5+ years relevant experience, in asset management company or asset owner (such as insurance, pension, sovereign wealth fund) investment related function; Bachelor degree or abovePrudential is an equal opportunity employer.
