SERVICE TECHNICIANSummaryThe Service Technician is responsible for performing periodic maintenance, repair, replacement and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment. You'll also be expected to identify additional safety, mechanical and other items in need of repair when working on the equipment.*Experience with electric forklift/electric batteries is a must!!!*Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Inspect, service, and repair forklifts, electric forklifts, electric batteries· Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble engine, transmission, differential, clutch, brake, electrical system, fuel system, and any other part related to material handling equipment· Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service and everything inbetween· Use all tools of the trade, including precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines, overhead hoists and power tools in making adjustments and repairs· Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork, including work orders, safety inspections, timesheets· Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards· Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills· Own and maintain up to date tools of the tradeEducational Requirements:· Relevant experience is a must, especially working with forklifts. Experience is valued over education with this position· High School diploma or equivalent· Basic computer skills would be nicePhysical Requirements: must be able to meet the following physical demands· Walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist.. you know, typical human movement· Lifting requirement to a maximum of 75 lbs. or the equivalent of two large sacks of wet rice· Power graspingOther Requirements:· Valid California driver’s license/good driving record, doesn't have to be outstanding, but above average· Ability to work independently· Good Communication and Customer Service Skills, not as common as you may thinkExperience:
  • Mechanical knowledge: 3 years working experience as technician/mechanic
  • 2 Years working experience as Forklift Mechanic/Technician
Nice to haves:
  • ASE certifications
  • Technical school certificate of completion
Work Location:
  • Onsite, of course. Hiring in multiple locations in the Bay Area
