- The PhD candidate is expected to contribute to review, design, analysis and testing of business models for sustainability (BMfS) in cooperation with project partners.
- He/she is expected to complete the necessary doctoral coursework.
- Take part in case study research of companies in the fish farming industry.
- Conduct research, publish, and write publishable papers that constitute the requirement for the PhD position.
- Participation in activities organized by SFI Harvest partners.
- Working closely with researchers across project work packages.
- Reviewing fisheries capture business models and value chains which correspond to sustainable governance and management.
- Working with partners to assess the applicability of existing sustainability assessment tools.
- Developing a decision-making framework to support the sustainability in business models.
- Testing the decision-making framework with key stakeholders from SFI Harvest.
- Your education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian degree program, where 120 credits are obtained at master's level
- You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and an average grade from the master's degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared with NTNU's grading scale. If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic basis. If you have a weaker grade background, you may be assessed if you can document that you are particularly suitable for a PhD education.

- Excellent written and oral English language
- Good knowledge of the fish feed and the aquaculture industry
- Understanding of how the Aquaculture sector and the life cycle of the feed affects the environment and the society
- Good theoretical and analytical skills
- Good communications skills
- Have experience of interviewing focus groups and running stakeholder workshops
- Norwegian or other Scandinavian language skills
- Ability to solve complex technical tasks independently.
- Ability to collaborate both within the discipline and across other discipline.
- You must be independent, have great work capacity and have enthusiasm for research.
- The ability to contribute to a good PhD environment and work environment in general is emphasized.
- The ability to carry out projects will be given special weight.
