About the job Operations Management VPOne of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Operations Management VP, with 12+ years of experience In the Ship building industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:Job OverviewManage the shipbuilding and MRO verticals, the people, processes and all the relevant
operational units and infrastructure to deliver the required production outcomes in terms of volumes, schedule, cost and quality. Ensure technical excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with organization's strategic objectives across these multifaceted areas.Strategic Responsibilities

Align function goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational

strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives. * Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;planning and evaluating organizational unit activities. * Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course ofaction, and evaluates outcomes. * Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annualbudget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. * Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.Managerial Responsibilities

Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives

efficiently. * Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.

Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and

negotiate business related issues to senior management. * Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.Functional Responsibilities

Identify and execute necessary measures to enhance the efficiency of shipbuilding/MRO production processes, aligning with program objectives.
Lead the maintenance of naval assets, including vessels, equipment, and systems,

ensuring their technical readiness. * Drive technical efficiency in MRO operations, optimizing technical processes andtechnical resource utilization. * Ensure the maintenance and optimization of facilities and production processes,incorporating innovation and technological advancements. * Plan and implement technical upgrades and modifications to facilities to enhanceoperational efficiency. * Ensure technical security measures are in place to protect facilities and technical assets.

Lead technical process optimization efforts across departments, identifying and

implementing improvements in technical workflows. * Develop and standardize technical methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.

Ensure shipyard technical infrastructure meets operational requirements.
Ensure the timely and secure deployment of production resources, encompassing

infrastructure, plant, and workforce, enabling verticals to deliver required outputs.
Manage the allocation of technical personnel to projects and tasks according to their skills and expertise, optimizing workforce utilization. * Manage the engagement with customers during ship construction or MRO phases per Program Management directives.

Manage contracts for services/products in production, supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain in preparing service contracts for the Shipyards.
Ensure proper execution of Production and Workshop training and development plans, ensuring workforce competence for efficient and safe operations.
Ensure workforce safety by applying safety standards, procedures, and legislative

requirements, with support from HSEQ. * Oversee the Management Review of the Business Quality Management System.

Actively promote Business Risk Management initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or any other similar field.
Above 12 years of experience in related field including 6 years in a leadership role.
Master's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or any other similar field.
