Are you an experienced Test Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Automotive Manufacturer as they look to expand their New Vehicle Electrical Reliability team.Main Purpose of Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
  • Support / Lead Electrical & Electronic Test team with development and management of HILS system for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems and testing on Electrical Integrated PlatForm.
  • Lead concern identification to root cause investigation including countermeasure recommendation.
  • Support both test and design departments to resolve issues with HILS models and testing.
Responsibilities of Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
  • Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones.
  • Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required or test.
  • Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Focal technical point for all HILS related matters with Manufacturers overseas headquarters.
Experience / Knowledge for the Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
  • Be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Have working knowledge of Automotive architecture – Ideally Japanese Manufacturers.
  • Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals electromagnetics.
  • Understanding of component and vehicle EMC test requirements.
  • Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
