Job Description :The Senior Projects Manager holds the responsibility for overseeing project execution and managing delivery teams for the Major Projects Portfolio.Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Major Projects Portfolio to meet program milestones and employer deliverables within company procedures.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing for Major Project delivery teams and individual projects.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development for team members.
  • Approve project scope, plans, and target costs.
  • Provide leadership to Project Teams and monitor activities against budget.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed on projects and establish effective construction controls.
  • Optimise resource planning and drive performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to control project costs and manage profit margins.
  • Own and enhance Major Projects company procedures.
  • Develop relationships with supply chain representatives for efficient project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections and set quality benchmarks.
  • Proactively manage safety, health, and environmental concerns.
  • Conduct safety audits and assist in risk assessments and investigations.
  • Produce regular progress reports for senior management.
  • Contribute to the growth of Major Projects business in line with company plans.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety, health, and environmental matters.
  • Champion HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, Environment).
  • Ensure HR policies are implemented within the function.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with experience in a customer-focused operational environment. Key qualifications include:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
  • Extensive project management experience.
  • Formal training or qualifications in project management.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of electrical experience in project management.
  • Electrical qualification (HNC/HND minimum), preferably with a degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with SAP up to 11kV/33kV.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
