Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do:Provides support to a top producing loan originator to learn and understand the origination process. Assists with the origination of mortgage loan applications and documentation to facilitate mortgage loan approvals from Central Bank as designed by best practices. Ensures that initial packages meet quality standards for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Complies with regulatory requirements, corporate guidelines, credit policy and all Federal and State Lending Regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Basic P.C. knowledge and skills, basic math ability, basic accounting and bookkeeping skills. Ability to use a financial calculator.
  • Can provide complete loan origination and counseling services to prospects, applicants and customers beginning with the pre-qualification process and continuing through closing.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess solid organizational and time management Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure of deadline and time restraint. Promotes teamwork within the department and other departments.
  • Ensures high production levels and quality customer service by answering questions for customers, realtors, and builders in a timely manner.
  • Ensures legal/regulatory procedures are followed and compliance practices meet all Federal and State standards.
  • Maintains and enhances market awareness including economic, housing data and competitive trends; develops programs or recommends product enhancement to address customer’s needs.
  • Maintains and enhances personal knowledge of products and services as well as the laws, regulation and internal policies and procedures appropriate to the position.
DECISION MAKINGIdentifies problems and develops procedures to resolve or correct the situation; monitors and measures the results. Provides excellent customer service and solves customer related problems quickly.Central Bank Offers This:

Basic knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, HMDA, FHA, VA and sub-prime lending guidelines. Knowledge and experience in all first and second mortgage credit products. Basic knowledge and experience in mortgage loan compliance.Skills: Basic computer knowledge including Encompass, Microsoft Word, Excel and a general understanding of the internet; basic math ability; basic accounting and bookkeeping skills; ability to use a financial calculator.Other Job-Related Criteria: Must be detail oriented; have the ability to prioritize; possess solid organization and time management skills; and have solid problem solving and decision-making skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must. Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadline pressures and time restrains.
