What you’ll do:Purolite have recently launched a business critical, multi-year, pair of projects to support the expansion of our bioprocessing resins business. The projects consist of a greenfield facility expansion in the Greater Philadelphia area and an expansion project of our existing Wales site.As the Process Engineer you will be responsible for delivering a part of the process design (process, raw materials, utilities, waste). The role will interface heavily with our EPCM partner and specialist critical equipment vendors. You will work directly with the EPCM partner to deliver the process design and be responsible for making and escalating decisions.
  • Develop an expert level of knowledge for the agarose manufacturing process engineering. Work with other stakeholders (RD&E, Process Development & Production) to ensure that the process is designed with the latest knowledge and understanding.
  • Work with EPCM partner to develop process engineering designs (PFD, P&ID, process descriptions, specifications etc.)
  • Become the SME for the process and work with the wider project team to design a successful end to end process.
  • Support the project managers in project delivery according to cost & time schedules.
  • Evaluate and critique EPCM design engineering outputs and participate in PHA activities.
  • Develop a process design that is efficient and robust. This will require extensive work with multiple stakeholders in RD&E and Supply Chain to ensure that successful startup, commissioning and process qualification is carried out.
What you'll need:
  • Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Experience with project value
$10M * Valid & proven experience working as a Process Engineer
  • Conversant with standards associated with GMP or Excipact environments
  • Work as a client side or EPCM Process Engineer
