- Administration of the EHSS document management system, Maintain shared email inbox and calendar
- Maintains databases and filing electronic / hard copy records
- Assists in filing and posting applicable regulatory permits and licenses
- Coordinates meetings and takes meeting minutes
- May generate metrics for site specific programs
- Arrange EHSS training with internal and external providers
- Arrange and manage appointments for Occupational Health & face-fit testing
- Participates in the development and/or implementation of department policies, SOPs and training materials
- Contribute to EHSS team projects and initiatives
- Possesses knowledge of UK environmental, health and safety regulations and sustainability best practices
- Displays attention to detail with documentation and communications
- Deals with sensitive and confidential information appropriately e.g. accident/health records
- Demonstrates communication, verbal and written and interpersonal skills to exchange straightforward information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, life sciences or safety related (e.g. industrial hygiene) discipline
- Typically requires 1 year of experience or the equivalent combination or education and experience
- A Health & Safety or an Environmental qualification is desirable (e.g. NEBOSH certificate, IEMA certificate)
