Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician

- To carry out planned and unplanned maintenance related to electrical and instrumentation in safe manner and in compliance with Air Products’ engineering and safety standards
- Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, pneumatic instruments and systems
- Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays, etc.
- To carry out regular inspection on plant E&I equipment and assess their reliability and escalate up if any abnormalities.
- Onsite metering skid calibration & maintenance
- Work and service with a wide variety of instruments including pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.
- To ensure that proper safety practices and measures are adhered to.
- Maintain files, logs and drawings for all designated instrumentation and electrical equipment
- Inspect, repair and remove all types of generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and storage batteries, and work with electrical systems in consultation with functional engineer
- To ensure that there are adequate stock and valid expiry of span gases, proper control and recording of stock should be exercised.
- To ensure analyzers are checked, validated, calibrated in accordance to planned frequency and exercise adequate care to maintain its accuracy, reliability and functionality
- To follow all the ISO 9001 procedures and documentation
- Perform all duties in a manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies
- Maintain instrumentation and electrical spare parts inventory to maintain plant reliability
- To ensure that proper care and maintenance of E&I tools are carried out.
- To effectively carry out the activities of the Energy Management System (EnMS).
- To follow the implementation of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Complete other tasks as delegated by superior
- Diploma in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering or 3+ years of experience as an E&I Technician, preferably in a process plant environment.
