Job descriptionWhy join us?The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.The NFR achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk managementWhat you’ll do:
  • Support Financial Crime Risk Management activities including AML, Sanctions, Fraud, Tax, etc.
  • Provide support to ongoing implementation of tax transparency standards (e.g. CRS, FATCA)
  • Collaborate and maintain good working relationship with internal stakeholders to ensure all the deliverables are achieved smoothly within scheduled timelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely project updates regularly to Head of Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk / Manager WPB Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk
  • Support Head of Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk / Manager WPB Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk to execute the WPB Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk activities at pace and with minimum conflict; and analyse stakeholder goals and effectively manage their expectations, addressing any misalignment.
  • Ensure tasks/initiatives adhere to both internal and external regulatory requirements, Local and Group policies and standards and minimise general risk to the Group.
  • Preparation of FCR MI for the reporting to management
  • Conduct review for local triggers related to WPB payments/credit card and safe deposit box transactions, including raising RFI (request for information), retrieving bank records and extracting transaction reports to understand customer’s transaction purposes.
RequirementsWhat you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Proven record of effective project execution and identify priorities.
  • Business understanding of WPB objectives and operating model as well as Group policies and standards.
  • Execute and deliver project tasks within budgets, time scales and of high quality of output.
  • Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented.
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Attentiveness to details
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively within WPB and across line of businesses.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Strong knowledge of application software
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Fluency in Cantonese an advantage
