LIFE by Be Caring is looking to recruit experienced Support Workers to join our Independent Supported Living (ISL) service in the Lemington (NE15) area of Newcastle. As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will be part of an integral team providing tailored person-centered care to our tenants which is both meaningful and wellbeing focused.Our in-house Learning Disabilities Trainer will ensure you have the competencies and specialist learning disabilities training for your role.
  • Pay: £12.00 p/hr (Complex rate) (8am-10pm) / £8.21 p/hr for 10-hour sleep-in support (10pm-8am)
  • Working on shifts, paid from start to finish.
  • Working 1-1 with the person.
  • Mileage - 45p per mile

As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will be based in Lemington, supporting a very sociable woman in her 70s to live a happy and fulfilled life, participating in local community activities such going out for meals, having coffee, shopping, playing bingo, walking her small dog, and taking trips away. She loves card making, arts and crafts, listening to music, and takes great pride in her appearance. You will support this individual to learn independent living skills such as managing a tenancy, cooking, and cleaning.Join our team of Learning Disabilities Support Workers. We offer various shift patterns, including:
  • 2 Part-time Roles
  • 1 Full-time Role
  • Weekend work undertaken on a rota basis
  • 14-hour shifts (8am-10pm) + sleep-in hours - Full 24hr shifts
